Most amazing sailing dinghy in the world

June 29, 2009 · Leave a Comment

A good friend of mine has been sailing a rather awkward boat called an International Moth. Usually I am not a sailing fan but this boat caught my eye immediately. It is probably best to see for yourself:
This boat reaches speed for up to 30knots, weighs less than 30kg and the hull is only 35cm wide. But the most amazing thing is the hydrofoils under the rudder and centerboard. Basically they work like wings on an airplane lifting the boat out of the water thus reducing drag and making it fast as hell. My friend Felix is the reseller for the Assassin Moth and finally convinced me to gibe it a try. Even though I never sailed before it was a pure blast. When you are up for a challenge and like getting wet full speed maybe you want to check out this amazing toy. Here’s the website for more information: www.foilermoth.com
