Attending lectures wherever and whenever you want? Sounds futuristic but is not. Tübingen University from Germany has recently launched timms, the Tübinger Internet Multimedia Server, to provide students with latest lectures, events and other information. High-quality videos and respective information about content and publisher replace traditional auditoriums.
xanderharris welcomes this initiative as future-oriented model for further universities. In his opinion such technology meets demand for an individual environment suitable for students to learn.
